Our Facilities

With the acquisition of Workout World in February 2017, Edge has expanded the brand into Port Elizabeth. We are upgrading and revamping the facility that traditionally catered mainly for body builders to a Family oriented gym catering for all fitness needs. We have focused especially on attracting the ladies market that’s been lacking a convenient well appointed health club till now.

Gym:  Our state of the art cardio includes over 50 pieces of equipment   So whether you are a couch potato or an aspiring athlete, our professional instructors can tailor make a programme to suit each individual’s needs.

Personal Trainers:  We also provide a Personal Training service for those of you who wish for that little something extra!

GROOVE

A dance-inspired fitness workout that draws on dance styles concentrating on Cardio / Balance / Flexibility

TAE BO – KICK

A unique blend of easy-to-learn martial arts techniques, this class will give you a great cardio and upper and lower body workout as well as improving your strength and flexibility. You’ll need to be fairly fit for this one!

PILATES

Pilates is a method/series of precise movements originating from your core, moving with focussed breathing, to engage the deepest layers of muscle.  This unique method of core strengthening will enhance spinal stability, alignment and support

ACTIVE AEROBICS

An aerobic program drawing from all four elements of fitness: cardio, strength, balance and flexibility.  It’s all about using your own bodyweight, so you can expect to push, pull, squat, lunge, bend and twist your way to a fitter bod. It’s high intensity interval training at its best!

STEP – BLAST

An energetic cardio workout using the STEP to train fitness, agility, coordination and strength

LOW IMPACT AEROBIC

Low-impact aerobic exercise typically consists of rhythmic movements involving large muscle groups. In this exercise, at least one foot is in constant contact with the floor, which makes it easy to do without putting much strain on the tissues.

FITNESS BOOTCAMP

Our Bootcamps are the best! They for the client who wants to achieve some weight loss, transform, feel better and fit. Each aerobics instructor is required to mix things up and vary their sessions to stop both your mind and body getting bored. Our Bootcamps are designed as a whole body workout that will improve your stamina, fitness, and strength in a fun and interesting ways. We guarantee that some of the exercises we do will push you to your limits, essentially ensuring you achieve your goals in the long run.

Bootcamp sessions start with a warm up followed by at least 45 minutes of exercises, we end with a cool down and stretch
